Learn the language of the body

Through yoga, I teach you to listen to your body and understand the information it is giving you.

I have been teaching yoga classes since 2003 and trained in two different schools of yoga and I am a certified yoga therapist. I am skilled at alignment, personalized correction and adjustment, and connecting the mind and body. I love teaching yoga as a way to understand the language of the body. Through yoga, I teach you to listen to your body and understand the information it is giving you. My classes are small and I ask a lot of questions so you can learn to listen to what your body is telling you. My yoga classes will increase your flexibility and mobility as well as teach you to cultivate freedom, peace and ease in the body and mind. My goal is to ensure that you have the skills to be a feisty 80 year old!

From the comfort of your own home

My clients find this membership amazingly supportive. A monthly membership gives you access to 4 live stream classes each week as well as a robust library of recorded classes. The 8 beginner's classes are included as well as a variety of other specialized classes. The membership included a 3 day free trail AND you have the option to join for just 1 day. It is a wonderful way to grow your personal practice and connect with the community.

"For on-line classes the sound is loud and clear; the live video feed is large enough to see Dana when she is demonstrating and it is crisp. I have no issues with seeing and hearing clearly. A few times the transmission faded but this was corrected within seconds. In addition, Dana can see and hear her students clearly.

This is important as Dana, since she can see and hear her students, is able to offer suggestions, modifications, and corrections as we are performing the asanas."

"I have been practicing yoga for 26 years and not just any class will do. What people call yoga can mean a lot of things. For me, a yoga class must be grounded in the meaning of the word yoga -- to "join" or "unite" the body and mind. I practice yoga to slow my breath, calm my mind, and anchor my spirit through the movement of the body.

Dana's class provides a space for all of this to happen. It is also important for me to continue to learn -- about yoga, about my body, about poses -- so finding a teacher who has the depth of experience to be able to take my practice to the next level is key.

All of this translates through the online format. In fact, I have taken more virtual classes with Dana than in-person ones. She takes the time to make sure everyone's device is set up so she can see and she really pays attention to each of us. "
